Audrey was a girl that sat in my classroom
she never said a word she just sat there so furtively
I never noticed her until I heard the radio
telling about the way she took her life
today it's all upon the covers of the papers
about her folks at home I guess her daddy is a drinker
her mummy left her when she was just a tiny child
tell me Audrey was that the first time you felt abandonment

Come to think about it there are some things
I can recall about her arms they had blue spots on them
I remember then thinking these thoughts to myself
Is it wrong to wonder about somebody else's problems

Audrey byla dívka, která seděla v mé třídě
Nikdy neřekla ani slovo
Jen tam tajně seděla

Nikdy jsem si jí nevšímala, až do té doby, než jsem uslyšela rádio
Vyprávělo o způsobu, jak si vzala život

Dneska je všechno na titulní stránce novin
O jejích příbuzných doma
